Kerala Backwaters-Alapuzha

It was an unexpected trip to Alapuzha. Boat ride was the highlight of the day. Backwaters treated us with wonderful clouds and rain.

Macro-Jun-Aug

These are few macro pics from my last visit.

On our way back from Guruvayoor, we stopped for lunch at Pathan's Trissur. This dried chilly was served with other dishes. 

This tiny flower was also clicked same day, on our return from Guruvayoor.

I got this pic totally unexpected. Been to Alathur panchayat office and saw this beetle on a bush at the entrance.

We had been to a wheel balancing shop beside NH47 in Vadakkencherry. While walking around, saw this colorful mushroom few inches long.

Water Drop !!!

I have been trying to take pictures of water drop in different positions and places. Droplet on a blade of grass, from a vine etc. The challenge was that leaf or vein keeps moving with slightest breeze. By the time we focus, it is gone.

Droplet on this vein tested my patience by moving around. Finally I lost and he won. Couldn't focus properly.

Then I got this one. There was a flower behind, which I tried to focus through the droplet. Finally this is what I got.

Road side flowers

These are pictures of flowers from Dubai road side . Good to see flowers at the peak of summer. 

Few shades of nithyakalyani. Looks really nice in bunches .

This one is a bunch of tiny flowers (no idea what its name is ).

I was waiting while things where getting ready for out Samarimala trip. We planned to leave after lunch. It was raining and was running out of ideas on what to click, then saw some vehicles going. Thought will try some pan shots.Here those clicks.
