Coimbatore

These pictures below are taken from my sister in-law's place in Coimbatore. 

This is a type of hibiscus flower that is not very common.

These "kanikonna"flowers are from a tree right outside the house.

They had a lemon tree at their backyard. Got pictures of its flower as well.

And this one right below the lemon tree.

Karthinivas and Muraliravam

This time it is pictures my two cheriammas houses next to mine. 

I was received by this group who had nested behind the gate. They gave me a "welcome"sting when I tried to open the gate.

This "poovum kayum"is from the mango tree right in front of the house. 

Heard of thorn in a rose plant, but  this rose bud had a horn.

Chaithanya

These are few pictures I took from my "smallest" cheriamma.

 This flower is the one which welcomes us at her place. A major attraction in her garden. This tiny fly was having a good time. 

Another small one from her garden. Not sure if it is the same fly.

And this flower on its last days.

He was hovering around flowers and made me run around before i could take a picture.

Naadan Vazhuthaninga from her kitchen garden. I liked its color.

This cuckoo settled with family on the fan in her sit-out. Father bird was not very happy with our presence.

Alathur-2

This time I got few pictures from road side bushes.

I cant recollect names of most of these except for "Shankupushpam", and kanikonna.

First two are quiet common.

Alathur

I went to India for a small vacation, the main purpose was to visit temples. Meanwhile, I got few pictures from different locations, which I am sharing here in different pages.

There are pictures taken from backyard at Alathur house. I dont know names of any of these flowers.

This is a bunch of flowers in the garden, with a long slender stock.

 A wild mushroom on a tree bark. There where a few of them.

Poovum kayum- Some strange looking seed with a good looking flower- got this one on the fence.

 And this cutie was on a flower pot.

Macro flowers

Two new macro pics from Jumeirah Park.

Water drops

Tried taking pictures of flowers through water drops. Had to take more than two dozen pictures before I got some decent ones. Need to perfect it, maybe next time.

Back to Macro

 Took my camera out after a long time. When we had a function at my friend, Ajit's house, I was certain I will get some good pics at his backyard. 

A weed to start with. This was an extra long one.

Then got these flowers. And our favorite-Jasmine (mulla poo)

This particular one was on a tree. Tiny and beautiful.

Got some pictures indoor as well. Nuts and seeds!!!

Finally, this guy was with me on my drive from Jebel Ali to Deira, and was gracious to pose for me
